CONNEAUT - Antonette J. Perkio, 63, of Conneaut, died Wednesday, Oct. 23,
2002 at University Hospitals in Cleveland.
Mrs. Perkio was born April 3, 1939 in Conneaut, the daughter of Anthony "Tony"
and Mary (Taddeo) Pizzi. She was a 1957 Conneaut High School graduate and served
as class treasurer for four years.
Mrs. Perkio worked as the City of Conneaut Treasurer for six years and also at
General Electric. She then went on to work at Port Conneaut Credit Federal
Union, and retired as manager after twenty-five years of service.
Mrs. Perkio then started a business with her husband, which was later sold as
Celebrations. She also helped to form the business "Antonette's Pizza," for her
son Tom. She managed Conneaut Lake Park for two seasons, where there was a
second Antonette's Pizza. She also created and bottled her own recipe of
Antonette's House Dressing.
Mrs. Perkio was chairperson and originator of the Marine Memorial Park, which
has been donated to the city of Conneaut.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Conneaut, serving on financial
boards at both the parish and school. She was also very active in various other
church activities.
Mrs. Perkio enjoyed volunteering her time cooking pizzas for the annual church
festival. She also enjoyed keeping busy, enjoying her family, grandchildren and
friends she loved so much.

wanted to be helpful to everyone she knew regardless if they were a friend or
just someone who needed her help.
