CONNEAUT - Margaret A. Arp, 69, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at UHHS Brown
Memorial Hospital after a four-month battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Conneaut, a daughter of Stanley and Daisy
(Fields) Harlacher.
A 1949 Conneaut High School graduate, she worked for the former Astatic Corp.,
Conneaut, and as a bartender for a number of local restaurants, retiring in
1991.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church, auxiliaries of the Moose Club,
American Legion, and the Eagles, where she once served as president.
She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, and enjoyed her grandson, gardening roses
and being around people.
Survivors include her daughter, Gale Arp of Conneaut; a son, David of Conneaut;
a sister, Janet Maenpaa of Conneaut; and a grandson, Matthew Arp of Conneaut.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Stansell and Susan
Wright; and two brothers, Robert and Richard Harlacher.
Service is noon today at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208
Liberty St., Conneaut, with the Rev. John Summers officiating. Burial will be in
Glenwood Cemetery, Conneaut.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Conneaut Firefighters Association
Local No. 651 or to the Mooseheart International. Envelopes will be available at
the funeral home.
